Dubai based 51 year-old Jeev Milkha Singh shot rounds of 72 and 66 to finish four under par tied 14th in the 7th Nojima Champion Cup Hakone Senior Professional Golf Tournament at Hakone Golf Club on the Japan Senior Tour.
The winner was South Korean IJ Jean on nine under par with rounds of 68 and 65, taking home the first prize of Yen 1 million.
Mikha Singh gained entry on the Japan Senior Tour by winning the recent Japan Senior Quailfying School.
He now lies 27th in the Japan Senior Tour’s Order of Merit and after two events.
The tournament was played from the 7,060 yards layout with a par 71.
Mikha Singh told GULF NEWS after the final round, ‘I was pleased with my game, I am playing nicely. I just need to work on my putting – this is where we all know the scoring is really made.’
‘My next event is in Korea in the first week of May and then I travel to the US for my niece’s wedding, then the Senior US Open Qualifying and then to play in the first major of the year, the KitchenAid PGA Senior Championship on the Champions Tour at PGA Frisco, May 24th – 28th.’
