The Bandenia Golf Society League returned on Saturday the 15th of April for the final league fixtures.

This was the last opportunity for each society to secure their spot in the knock out stages and stake their claim to be Bandenia Golf Society League Champions. The ten societies are split into two leagues with top four in each league and moving into the knockout stages.

BANDENIA LEAGUE

FIGME was up first in The Bandenia League as they faced The Nepalese Golf Society and they could not be separated as they both won a match each. Both the societies have progressed into the next stage of the competition.The other game in the league was the SGSC Social Society, facing GTI. Local knowledge proved to much for GTI as they lost both matches on the day. SGSC Social progressed into the next round whilst unfortunately for GTI they drop out of the competition. KEGS are the fifth society in this league, they had a rest week but are also safely into the next round.

MYGOLF DUBAI LEAGUE

The first match in the MyGolf Dubai League saw Team International battle it out against the Sharjah Golf Society. Another close match on the day as the societies both win a match each and both move into the next round with ease.The other match in the MyGolf league saw The Golf Dragons face the challenge of MyGolf Dubai. Winning one match and drawing another match MyGolf Dubai came out victorious on the day. Both MyGolf Dubai and Golf Dragons have move into the next round and are looking forward to the challenge ahead. Sports 2 Business make up the remainder of this league and unfortunately for them results did not go there way as they drop out at this stage.

As well as the matches, competitors had a chance to win day prizes for best betterball stableford score.Congratulations to Gerrit Genis & Louis Smith (MyGolf Dubai) on their win in the Day’s prizes. While second place was won by George Fitchet and Rory Thomson (SGSC GS).

The next round of the GSL will be hosted at SGSC on the 29th of April.
