Ajman: UAE-based Pure Gold, represented by Firoz Merchant, has donate Dh150,300 to offer prison inmates in Ajman a new lease of life by flying back to their home countries after they had completed their term.

Abdul Raouf, director general of Hashem Group of Companies, also handed over a cheque for Dh50,000 to the Ajman Police towards the same cause.

The donations aim to pay air tickets of prisoners who have completed their sentences to return home.

The repatriated prisoners belonged of different nationalities .

Brigadier General Khalid Mohammad Al Nuaimi, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Ajman Police, appreciated the generous support for the humanitarian cause.

Lieutenant Colonel Mohammed Mubarak Al Ghafli, Director of the Punitive and Correctional Institution, pointed out that the two contributions helped buy air tickets for inmates of the Punitive and Correctional Institution who had served their sentences and were waiting to be deported.
