Recently held at the Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club was the Lincoln Dubai Creek Open 2023. A challenging golf course setup, with winds blowing across the Creek. Despite the tough conditions, 72 golfers participated in the event to compete in the team stableford format.
The winning team, comprising of Stamen Stantchev, Smbat Pogosyan, Cristina Petrovici, and Ashok Kumar, scored an impressive 93 points.
The runners up, David Gowans, Joy Lirio, Devanand Kurup, and Anish Bhatia, were just two points behind with a team total of 91 points.
While Christopher Othen, William Page, Christopher Cornwall, and William Jones finished in third place with a total of 86 points.
In addition to the main tournament, there were two nearest the pin competitions held. Adonis Nasr won the Nearest the Pin Hole 8 competition, while Mark Dennehy won the Nearest the Pin Hole 14 competition.
Thomas Hall, the Assistant Golf Service Manager of Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club, expressed his gratitude to all the golfers who participated in the event and made it a grand success. He also thanked the event sponsor, Lincoln, for making the tournament possible and supporting the game of golf.
