Tomorrow (Monday) see Jumeirah Golf Estates host the Emirates UAE PGA Championships.

This 36-hole event, is part of the 2022 – 2023 Emirates UAE PGA Order of Merit as well as a Dubai Golf Trophy Qualifier. The top 12 Professionals in the Order of Merit automatically qualify to represent the Professionals in the annual Dubai Golf Trophy next month, with this week’s event having double qualifying points.

38 Emirates UAE PGA Professionals will compete over the Fire course in round one from the Green Tee course.

The first-round tee times are from 7.05 am – 9.05 am all played from the first tee.

Defending champion Sujjan Singh (CH3 Performance Academy, The Els Club) will tee off at 8.05 am.

The three leaders in the Order of Merit available to play, are paired together at 9.05 am: Sam Maclaren (Sharjah Golf & Shooting Club), Louis Gaughan (Dubai Hills) and Jackson Bell (JGE).

This season’s Order of Merit looks like a two-horse race between Jackson Bell (Jumeirah Golf Estates) and Louis Gaugan (Dubai Hills GC). The current leader of the merit table Stuart Smith is overseas and cannot compete.

Rory Stewart, Golf Experience Executive, Jumeirah Golf Estates, said at the draw announcement, ‘We are delighted to be hosting the Emirates UAE PGA Championships over the next couple of days. Our golf courses are in excellent condition and we will see how the UAE PGA Pros score. It will be interesting to see who comes out on top over 36 holes. We wish them all well.’
