The Fire course hosted The Lounge Spa sponsored Ladies' event today (Wednesday).
This month's competition format was an individual Stableford with participants playing on full course handicap.
With an impressive score of 35 Stableford points, Lisa Lynch was this month's Lounge Spa winner. Lynch, who plays off a 20-handicap index, had a slow start and deemed herself out of the competition to fight back and boast 21 Stableford points on the back nine. Lynch's dominance came towards the end of her round – when it mattered. Lynch had five net birdies in the last six holes.
Just two Stableford points behind Lynch and claiming the runner-up position was Sherma Ayrton (19) with 33 Stableford points. Ayrton was leading after the turn but couldn't stop Lynch's final surge.
Jane Vorster (12.4) scored 32 Stableford points and came in third place. Vorster was also the winner of hole 8th Nearest the Pin challenge.
Lynch, Aryton and Vorster were playing in the same flight.
The second on-course competition was Nearest the Pin on hole 14. This was won by Willemijn Roeterdink (12) with a superb shot, narrowly escaping the hole.
Whilst concluding the prize-giving presentation, Rory Stewart, Golf Services Executive, commented, "Congratulations to all our prize winners; a particular mention goes to Lisa for her amazing individual effort. On behalf of Jumeirah Golf Estates, I would like to thank The Lounge Spa for their continued support of events."
