The Tommy Fleetwood Academy hosted the fourth round of the Junior Monthly Medal just a week after the Jumeirah Golf Estates Mens’ Amateur Open so the golf course was set-up in pristine condition.
Four flights of participants played over the Fire course in a nine-hole Individual Stroke Play format, with participants receiving a 50% course handicap allowance.
The gross winner of Round Four was Alexander Rushika (1), with a score of 37 gross. Rushika made a superb start to his round, going one under through the first four holes. Despite the two bogeys that Rushika picked up, he held on well to finish on top.
In the Net Division, Aaayan Khanna (25) won the competition scoring a net 34. This division was closely contested, with Khanna winning on a count-back from Milana Rozhko (20).
Beat the Pro this month was set up on hole 8 of the Fire course by TFA Teaching Professional; Ginger Dela Cretaz. Sam Collier (5.7) was the only participant to successfully hit his ball closer to win the competition outright.
A special mention goes to Maximillian Dzikowski, who, at the age of seven, is the youngest to compete in Tommy Fleetwood Academy competitions.
Whilst concluding the prize-giving presentation, Diarmaid Fraser, Golf Teaching Professional at the Tommy Fleetwood Academy, commented, ‘Thank you for your ongoing support of the Tommy Fleetwood Academy Medals and congratulations to this month’s winner, Alexander. His success in this competition is awe-inspiring. As we draw closer to the summer months, the Academy will send updates of the Order of Merit with big prizes to be won, so keep up the good work.’
