Sixteen juniors competed in round three of the Tommy Fleetwood Academy Junior Monthly Medal at Jumeirah Golf Estates. The nine hole Individual Strokeplay event was held over the front nine of the Fire course.

The juniors were allocated 50% of course handicap allowance playing off three tee boxes: the girls were teeing up on the orange markers, those with a handicap index of 4 and above playing off the signature tees and those with a handicap index of 3.9 and below off the tournament tees.

Tommy Carr Jr (6) won the best Net Division with a superb net 34 (2 under par). Carr’s enhanced practice is paying off, as he only had one bogey on his card and picked up three birdies. The runner-up was Milana Rozhko (22), who scored even par.

In the Gross Division, Junes Chirband (Scr) was the winner scoring a gross 38 (2 over par).

This month, Charlotte Austwick (TFA Teaching Professional) set up the ‘Beat the Pro’ challenge on hole 8. Dhruv Sharma (12) and Jamel Choudry (10) successfully hit their golf balls within 10 feet of the flag.

Charlotte Austwick, Golf Teaching Professional at the Tommy Fleetwood Academy, commented, ‘Congratulations to all the prize winners. While out on the course, I saw a fantastic display of golf. Keep up the good work, and we look forward to seeing you all at the TFA Academy.’
