This week’s golf scene is dominated by the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by MasterCard, the fourth elevated tournament on the 2023 PGA Tour with a $20 million prizefund.

Dubai based Adrian Meronk (Pol) will be competing in his third consecutive event on the PGA Tour having finished tied 45th in The Genesis Invitational and tied 14th in The Honda Classic and currently stands 52nd in the OWGR and 10th in the DP World Tour Race to Dubai Rankings.

44 of the top 50 players in the OWGR will tee it up. No tournament has featured more top 50 players since the 2022 Open Championship at St. Andrews.

Top 30 players

The top 30 players in the FedEx Cup standings are all in the field. 19 of the 20 players in last year’s PIP will be teeing it up at Bay Hill, with Tiger Woods being the only exception.

A second parallel PGA Tour event is also taking place this week at the Puerto Rico Open with a prize fund of $3.8 million.

The LPGA is in Singapore with a Wednesday start for the HSBC Women’s World Championship before returning to the US in a couple of weeks, whilst the Ladies European Tour is in South Africa with the Joburg Open, again with a Wednesday start.
