Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi Police have arrested a suspect for attempting to smuggle 4.5 million Captagon pills into the UAE.

The accused had stashed the prescription-only medical pills in food containers, with plans to smuggle them to a neighbouring country.

Brigadier Tahir Al Dhaheri, director of the Narcotics Directorate at Abu Dhabi Police, said the suspect was apprehended following a security plan that involved tracking his movements.
