Jumeirah Golf Estates hosted the Pairs Betterball event sponsored by Park Hyatt Dubai on the Earth course.

The format was a Pairs Betterball where each player played their own ball on each hole, and the best Stableford score from the pair on each hole counted for the total points. For the handicapping, the ladies were playing off full course handicap allowance from the orange tee markers.

The winning pair was Jane Vorster (16) and Trudi McMullan (20), with a superb score of 47 points. The couple had 23 points on the front nine and 24 points on the back nine. Jane and Trudi had ten net birdies and one net eagle.

The runners-up were Sara Chadwick (22) and Victoria Buerk (35), with a great score of 43 points. The pair had six net birdies. A highlight of their round was the two net eagles which they picked up on the final two holes.

There were two on-course competitions; winning Nearest the Pin on hole six was Shelia McIlroy (11) with a stunning shot. Sara Chadwick won Nearest the Pin on the tricky 17th island hole (22).
