South Korea’s Jeunghun Wang and Spain’s Alejandro Del Rey both share the 54 hole lead on the DP World Tour at the Singapore Classic after rounds of 66.

Wang the three-time winner on the DP World Tour, started the third round four shots off the lead at eight under par, held by Chinese amateur Wenyi Ding. Just one birdie on Wang’s front nine wasn’t much to right home about, but his back nine was a different story. Birdies on holes 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 and 18 with a solitary bogey on his 17th, meant the 27-year-old finished the day at 14 under par for the tournament.

"I think I played really well today and the last two days as well. I changed my putter two weeks ago and that has worked really well. I think that’s the reason I’ve played so well’ Wang said.

"I didn’t really think about birdies. I just kept playing, aiming at the flag and it worked. I'm not thinking about winning right now. I’ll just play my own game tomorrow and hopefully it will work."

Joining Wang at the top of the leaderboard is Alejandro Del Rey with the pair in fact paired together for the third round. The Spaniard started his third round strongly by opening up with three consecutive birdies.

The 24-year-old who is 114th on the Race to Dubai started his back nine with a birdie between bogeys at the ninth and 11th before going birdie-eagle-birdie from the 12th to complete his days work at 14 under par.

"It’s a place that suits me pretty well and it’s about dropping the putts” said del Rey.

"They’ve dropped pretty well so far. I hope to continue tomorrow.

Richard Mansell is again in contention on the DP World Tour, he will enter the final round just one shot back after a blemish free 65 as he goes in search for his maiden DP World Tour title.

One further shot back at 12 under par are Välimäki, Kimsey, Schneider and McKibbin. The top 20 are all within just five shots of the lead.

The second round leader Chinese amateur Ding had a day to forget. A four over par 76 puts him back in a tie for 21st at eight under par.

With thunderstorms expected on Sunday afternoon the field will be playing in three-balls and a two tee start for their final round, now scheduled earlier than planned.
