Sharjah: Sharjah Municipality has announced that public parking will be free of charge on the 1st of Muharram on account of the Islamic Hijri New Year.

However, the decision does not apply to the 7-day paid parking zones identified by the blue parking information sign.

Muharram 1 is likely to be observed on Saturday, July 30. However, the date will be confirmed after the sighting of the moon.
